JoyProxy adds $5 free credit to new accounts after email verification. No credit card is required to register. The credit is meant to prove that your stack works with JoyProxy’s residential paths before you commit to a larger traffic pack or dedicated IP term.

- Activate via the email link—credit applies after verification, not at raw signup.
- Log into the dashboard and confirm balance shows promotional credit.
What $5 buys (short-term traffic)
At the list base rate of $5 per GB on the smallest pay-per-GB tier, five dollars roughly equals one gigabyte of short-term residential traffic before volume discounts—enough for thousands of lightweight HTML requests or a few hundred heavy pages. The credit generally applies to purchasable products in the dashboard—use it for a small short-term pack or partial payment toward a larger order depending on current checkout rules.
A sensible first-week plan
- Day 1: Whitelist IP, create credentials, run one
curlthrough the proxy (see our setup walkthrough). - Day 2–3: Integrate your scraper framework on a 100-page sample; measure actual MB per page.
- Day 4: Extrapolate monthly GB and buy the right package—not the biggest “just in case.”
When to skip short-term and go dedicated
If your first task is logging into a seller account, skip rotation experiments and evaluate long-term dedicated IP pricing instead—the $5 credit may not cover a full month of dedicated IP, but it can still fund diagnostic short-term tests for public pages.
